Key Job Responsibilities
Teach through instruction, discussions and demonstrations in subject area, such as
English Language, General Knowledge in Art, Chemistry and Economics.
Assign and grade class work, homework and all other assignments regularly.
Watch closely for learners who are struggling with emotional problems, learning difficulties or situations at home, and help them find the resources they need.
Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies and administrative regulations.
Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students.
Enforce all administrative policies and rules governing students.
Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development and physical health.
Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question and investigate.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
Qualifications, Job Skills and Requirements
The applicant must have at least a bachelor’s degree in a related field from a recognized tertiary institution.
Communication Skills -The job requires speaking clearly to learners, colleagues, parents and administrative staff.
• Writing Skills -The job requires writing notes as well as filling out progress reports for learners.
Instruction Skills -The job requires the ability to use differentiation, scaffolding and inclusion to ensure that all learners benefit from lessons taught.
