In ongoing efforts to address the concerns of striking teacher unions, discussions are set to resume between union representatives and government officials on March 27.

Key issues such as continuous professional development and rent, utility subsidies, transport, CPD and derived areas allowances are expected to be finalized during this crucial meeting tomorrow, Wednesday 27,2024.

Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum, expressed optimism regarding the negotiations, highlighting the importance of heeding the National Labour Commission’s call to end the strike.

Despite the ongoing standoff, both sides are hopeful for a resolution that will benefit all stakeholders in the education sector.

  3. Utility Subsidy Allowance=15% of base pay
  4. Rent Allowance=15% of base pay
  5. Transport Allowance=15% of base pay.
  6. Teaching assessments allowance =15% of base pay.
