This is an update on The Ghana Education Service (GES) recent recruitment announced a couple of weeks ago.

If you happen to be an applicant of the GES recruitment, I assume that you have already heard about the recent news on the recruitment concerning the issuing of appointment letters to some selected members of the public. We cannot decipher whether they applied to be recruited in the GES recruitment of Diploma In Basic Education holders or not.

Let me go straight to the point by saying that the Ghana Education Service (GES) will release the names of qualified applicants, unlike what others have heard. Read on.

Information gathered by Bricy Boateng reveals that applicants of the GES recruitment should expect to receive an official announcement from the Ghana Education Service from next week – April 18, 2023.

It is assumed that due to the spread of ‘backdoor’ recruitment news going viral on social media platforms, the service is pressured to redeem her honour by doing what is required.

This will in any way does not affect those who have had their appointment letters backdoor unless it is not from a genuine source.

Bricy Boateng has gathered that the backdoor GES recruitment is being done in three forms:

1. Replacement of teachers who have left the service or gone on retirement, which does not influence the recruitment freeze policy as Ghana prepares for an IMF Bailout. These people have received their staff IDs already even before they reported working and will very soon do their biometric registration. (strictly protocol).

2. Recruitment of applicants from Jackson College of Education, which is based on rumors.

3. Recruitment of people by high-profile people in government whose intention is to score political points and exploit desperate unemployed graduates by selling GES appointments to them as the general election draws near.

All these categories of people getting the GES recruitment are those with DBE and B.Ed certificates from regular, distance, and sandwich programmes from both private and public universities.

Conclusion

In case you happen to be an applicant of the Ghana Education Service (GES) recruitment, all hopes are not lost. Keep your fingers crossed. Expect to see your name in the list of recruited teachers soon.

Lastly, Bricy Boateng will keep you posted.
