GES Pension: Teachers Asked To Register On The Portal To Access This Information

Teachers employed by the Ghana Education Service at the pre-tertiary level are asked to register online in order to access all the necessary information on their pension contribution.

According to the Ghana Education Service Occupational Pension Scheme, (GESOPS), about half of teachers population nationwide have not registered on the portal.

GESOPS created the online platform just like the E-payslip and SSNIT online platforms for members to get access to important information as well as make a claim whenever it becomes necessary. Further, the fund manager is going to launch an android mobile app soon to complement the online portal on the web.

Although many teachers are unaware of this information, GESOPS through the teacher unions is requesting their members to register online and enjoy the benefits that come with it.

Benefits derived from the online portalWith the GESOPS online platform, teachers are able to do the following; make a claim from their contribution, check how much they have contributed over the past years, check statements, view beneficiaries and check number of claims.
