In a dramatic protest yesterday, a woman named Sarah and her family publicly accused Rev. Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, of theft and assault. The protest centers on allegations that Nana Agradaa stole a pot of gold that belonged to Sarah’s late grandmother and has refused to return it.
According to Sarah, her late grandmother, in recognition of her loyalty and good service, gifted her a pot full of gold. Before passing away, her grandmother advised her to seek someone to pray over the precious gift. Trusting in this advice, Sarah approached Nana Agradaa for prayers.
However, Sarah claims that upon receiving the pot of gold, Nana Agradaa demanded 1,000 cedis, which Sarah paid. Later, Nana Agradaa allegedly requested an additional 4,000 cedis, a sum that Sarah could not afford. Following her inability to meet this demand, Sarah repeatedly asked for the return of her gold. Despite her persistent efforts over the past few years, her gold has not been returned.
Sarah is now appealing to Ghanaian leaders and authorities to intervene and help her retrieve her family’s gold from Nana Agradaa. The protest highlights growing concerns about alleged misconduct involving individuals in positions of spiritual authority.
