The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the commencement of this year’s Inter-Regional and Inter/Intra District repostings for its staff members. In a memorandum addressed to all Regional/Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors, management outlined the procedures and timeline for the reposting process.
According to the memorandum, GES staff seeking assurance for their reposting will follow the existing process, with assurance letters being issued from Monday, 20th May, 2024, until Wednesday, 19th June, 2024. This period allows staff members to secure their reposting positions for the upcoming academic year.
The processing of Inter-Regional reposting applications to the GES Headquarters will commence on Monday, 1st July, 2024. These repostings will take effect from the beginning of the next academic year, scheduled for September, 2024.
Regional/Metropolitan/Municipal/District Directors are requested to compile and forward lists of all staff members who have been given assurance in their respective regions to the GES Headquarters. Completed applications for reposting should be submitted no later than Wednesday, 31st July, 2024. It is emphasized that documents received after this deadline will not be accepted.
Furthermore, the memorandum highlights that staff members seeking reposting can only be released after the Director-General approves and issues a reposting letter to the applicant. The cooperation of all involved parties is solicited to ensure a smooth and efficient reposting process.
