Controller To Conduct Nationwide Audit For Gov’t Employees

The Controller And Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) is going to execute a nationwide audit for government workers in the civil service across the length and breadth of the country.

The objective of the audit is to reactivate workers who were affected in the Payroll and Personnel Verification Audit which was organized in the year 2018 across the country. Some employees got affected during the exercise and had their salary deactivated.

According to Controller, these affected persons have been frequenting their offices for them to get reactivated even during the Covid-19 pandemic times.

In order to resolve the whole issue, the Controller is sending a team of auditors to all regional offices in the country to validate and reactivate legitimate workers who were affected by the exercise

However, the team will conduct some investigations to ascertain the legitimacy of the situation.

Starting date

The exercise officially comes off next week Monday 12th July to 17th July 2021 at all the regional offices.

Category of persons
The audit is targeted at any government worker or employee who receives salary from the CAGD and got affected during the audit exercise. This includes staff members of GES, Ghana Health Service, among other ministries.

Take note that the exercise is meant to resolve all salary issues thus, all affected employees are to give this information all the necessary attention it deserves because failure to comply will lead to deletion of your name in the system.

Do not forget to visit the office and present all the relevant documents like academic and professional certificates.
