The Controller And Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) is going to execute a nationwide audit for government workers in the civil service across the length and breadth of the country.
The objective of the audit is to reactivate workers who were affected in the Payroll and Personnel Verification Audit which was organized in the year 2018 across the country. Some employees got affected during the exercise and had their salary deactivated.
According to Controller, these affected persons have been frequenting their offices for them to get reactivated even during the Covid-19 pandemic times.
In order to resolve the whole issue, the Controller is sending a team of auditors to all regional offices in the country to validate and reactivate legitimate workers who were affected by the exercise
However, the team will conduct some investigations to ascertain the legitimacy of the situation.
The exercise officially comes off next week Monday 12th July to 17th July 2021 at all the regional offices.
Category of persons
